Filter with smooth transition from full color to most transparency at other end.

  Red filter is one of the most extremely operating effect filters, attenuates all UV rays except the red and partially orange. The effect is strong brightening red and orange colors, and darkening all other colors. The only exception to this rule is the green color of the landscape. It turns out that some of the greenery of trees, shrubs and grasses, photographed with dark red filter on pictures looks much lighter than in real. It is known as a Wood effect.

  The red filter is used mostly when we want to lighten objects colored red or similar and darken obiects colored blue and green (with the exception of vegetation green). If in the shot landscape we want to achieve a mood of storm and give to clouds a menacing look, or reach on the picture the lunar lighting effect, that is get a very dark sky with bright clouds and the dark landscape red filter is indispensable.

  A portrait foto made with red filter will be far different from the real portrait subject. We'll get a pale face and white lips, very strong darkening of blue eyes, and blond hair in the picture will come out as white. A red filter causes that the clothes actually yellow, orange or red will be white in the picture.
