Saramonic UwMic9 SP-RX9 is both a receiver and a mixer dedicated to filming with a smartphone or camera. A great solution for obtaining high quality sound during online streams, YouTube videos, vlogs or interviews and conferences.

Optionally, the UwMic9 system also offers transmitters that can be combined with the SP-RX9 receiver: TX-XLR9 - transmitter with phantom power (+ 48V) or HU9 handheld microphone with built-in transmitter.

Application

The SP-RX9 is both a receiver that allows you to receive the signal simultaneously from two transmitters, and a separate mixer for use with an external microphone. At the bottom of the device there is a 1/4 ”thread for photo tripods and gimbals. The aluminum handle included in the set can also be used as a stabilizer. On the back of the receiver there is a holder for placing a smartphone or other device. The spacing of the grip is in the range from 65 to a maximum of 87 millimeters.

On the side panels on both sides of the receiver you will find a number of inputs and outputs that are used for specific applications:

•     3.5mm mini jack input for external microphone
•     3.5mm mini jack headphone output for listening monitoring
•     USB Type-C input for battery charging
•     micro USB output for connecting the receiver with iOS and Android systems
•     synchronized 3.5mm mini Jack or mini XLR input for tie-bar microphones
•     output for recording equipment

The SP-RX9 is easy to use, so we can synchronize devices using auto-scan or infrared. The UwMic9 system operates in the secure UHF radio frequency band from 514 to 596 MHz. It has a choice of 96 transmission channels, which in total gives us the opportunity to expand sets up to 48 transmitters and 24 receivers. The "+" and "-" buttons enable quick and convenient navigation through the menu. For details on display functions, see the user manual.

The manufacturer specifies the range of the system up to 100 meters in an open area and up to 60 meters in an area with obstacles. Our tests have shown that the distance from the receiver to the transmitter in the open can reach up to 130 meters without any obstacles.

The receiver is equipped with an internal battery, so we do not have to worry about an additional set of batteries. We will use a USB / USB-C cable to charge the built-in battery (5V DC).

The receiver and transmitter housings are made of high-quality aluminum, which guarantees a high-quality product. To facilitate work before recording, set the appropriate volume levels using the headphone input and headphones. We recommend that you read the instruction manual before use.
