Laowa 12 mm f / 2.9 Zero-D Cine is the world's widest lens with T / 2.9 transmission and almost zero image distortion. Extremely wide angle of view (122 °) and high brightness make the lens perfect for landscape and outdoor shots, as well as scenes shot in tight rooms. Low weight and compact dimensions allow for free shooting "by hand" and with the use of gimbals.

The image coverage area works with VistaVision sensors (37.70 x 25.00 mm), Arri Alexa LF (36.70 x 25.54 mm), so the lens works perfectly also with smaller sensors.

The optical structure of the lens consists of sixteen elements arranged in ten groups. Three low-dispersion lenses and two aspherical lenses ensure the highest quality imaging of the entire frame from edge to edge, even with a wide aperture. Both the focus rings and aperture rings feature industry-standard 0.8 travel gears that are suited to the Cine Follow Focus motors.

The assembly of the compendium and therefore the filters is possible thanks to the adapter ring with a diameter of 114 mm. The Peli suitcase with a matching sponge shape effectively protects the lens during transport.
